I hope this post has been enlightening to Christians or other faiths who do not ‘pray to statue’. Sometimes, it is not the statue they are praying, but rather, their hopes, wishes, dreams, sufferings, agonies, fears they are expressing. Have respect for other faiths and people will respect us back.
Does that make us Catholics, such hopeless, sad, sombre, painful, suffering, bullied, bloodied, agonising people? I mean, does the total images of Christ final journey give people who do not know Christ that perception that they need to worship Christ out of pity?
I don’t think Jesus would like that, you know?
