A tribute by Tian Chua to Datuk Seri Wan Azizah

I had been warned twice by an older relative to stay away from blogging about a certain political figure. He knows best so I dare not touch the man’s issue in my personal blog anymore. It is hard for me to not shoot a blog post when some news bugged me but I dreaded getting a phone call every time I have been notty. My older relative reminded me that it is touchy issue and he told me not to play with fire.

However, there are things that I like to note down and look back. I believe you know the greatness of a person from the way they write and express their thoughts. And you know the greatness of a person from another person who displayed their greatness. Oh well…I guess readers will get my drift.

Anyway….Tian Chua wrote a very nice tribute for Datuk Seri Wan Azizah today. He wrote :

Wan Azizah has the torch bearer for our arduous long march. She was more than a symbol but some one who carried out the task of transforming Malaysian political landscape.

she was the true leader who executed the task of building a reform movement for Malaysia. She can definitely be proud of that. I am sure many Malaysians especially women are proud of her. Her sacrifice and endurance of hardship had opened up the window of opportunity for democracy in Malaysia.

Like Prophet John the Baptist, Wan Azizah cleared the path and proclaimed the coming of Anwar. Anwar will continue from the achievement of Wan Azizah.

This is the second time I had blogged about Tian Chua on this blog. I do not know why but I somehow feel that Tian Chua gains his courage, perseverance and selfless character from the Divine. This video of him defending the squatters at Kampung Chubadak has made him a hero in my eyes.

It is people like him and all his comrades that give us that glimmer of hope. We thought that after the 12th GE, the light will shine but unfortunately, we were shrouded with even more lies. May the truth prevails soon.
