One of the Chinese paper featured me as a blogger. Well, I have been getting quite a pile of emails from strangers asking me to teach them how to make money. I have replied a few but it seems that there is no end to it.
That’s how a lot of people get scammed. I could have bluffed them to buy some useless books, some redundant softwares (while I secretly earn loads of commissions) and start to make money. But things don’t work like that and that’s why I call my Make$ Money$ blog Truth, No Scam. I personally feel it is very wicked to give people false hopes of how easy it is to make money.
One has to put in a lot of time to the whole business. In the article, I mentioned that I spent about five to six hours a day on the computer and the first thing I do every morning is to switch on my computer and check my sites. Then, I don’t go to sleep until 2am to 3 am because that’s when US wakes up and I have to deal with a lot of things.
People aren’t faze with all those hard work. They want to hear the secret, the secret that they think exists. No, ma’am, there is none. I got to learn a lot of things like codes, web hosting, find opportunities, networking and maintain a whole lot of things. I self-learn many of the things by reading up useful web hosting articles and how to start a website from scratch.
Then, I also need to know what to do when my sites are hacked or when there is a server downtime. I haven’t mastered every thing yet but someday, hope that I can with all the available web hosting tutorials online.
I am hosting this site with Bluehost and it is one of the cheap web hosting available. But still, by end of December, I have to pay up a lot of money for another two years of hosting. This site was started on Christmas 2006 but unfortunately, many of my earlier posts were gone because of hacking.
So, at the end of the day, if anyone ask me if they can make money, I will tell them to forget it. Get online only if you have the passion. Right now, I told the Chinese paper journalist, my passion is this blog where I write about Christianity and my faith. I told her I had lost my interest in making money. She looked at me with surprise but it is true. Writing about this sensitive issue call religion in our super sensitive country is so thrilling.
