I have always wanted to get one of those leather bound Bible with zip. They are separated into weekdays readings and Sunday readings, two different books. I see many of my church parishioners having it. It sort of make one very ‘professional Catholic’. LOL.
Once, John, a crippled young man from my church asked me to buy for him. He wanted the Sunday readings. There was this visiting stall and I told him, OK…..let’s go.
However, I had to retract my agreement because it costs RM70-RM80. LOL, I am not able to afford it for him so I had to say sorry to him. “Sorry lah John, I do not have that amount of money.” Miraculously, someone gave him an used Bible with the daily readings. Inspite of his condition, both physical and mental limitations, he can read the Bible.
Until today, I still cannot fork out the money to buy it for myself because well….it is one of those things that we are reluctant to spend on, yet can buy other stuffs.
So, I now have to contend with my random readings. I will pick up some chapters of the Bible and read through a few pages until something strike me. Usually, it is not hard to find something whammy that just screams at you.
This morning, I found the below rather eye-opening. Now, that explains why…..Hmm……
Yesus menjawab mereka, “Percaya-lah. (Yohanes 5:18-19)
