I think I haven’t spend money for many months already. It is not a good thing to lose interest in spending money because money suddenly become meaningless when you don’t spend it.

So, today, I went to the mall with my four sons in our little Viva. Actually, it is not little at all but rather spacious. The bookshops are having sales and I picked up a book by Anne Rice – Christ the Lord, The road to Canna. My children were browsing through some Enid Blyton’s books and Christ The Lord front page caught my eyes.

I am not sure what’s the book about because all of them were sealed in plastic bags. I only read the back page and am intrigue with how Anne Rice tells the story. It is like she is walking with Christ or something like that.

Since I don’t have a chance to sit down for Bible classes or any scripture classes, I cannot imagine much about the Old and New Testament. I need a person to explain the scenario during those ancient times and how the people behaves back then. So, this book looks like a good one to give me some insights into the life of Jesus Christ.

Lent and then, Pentecost normally do funny things to me like being more inspirational than usual. Today, I just realised how God, with the guidance of Jesus Christ has led me to all sort of places. In a normal life, I don’t think I would have venture into some of the things I had done over these six years.

  1. How’s the book? Do tell yah, thnking of getting it among a few other books but as ain’t sure bout the content, decide to get others first

  2. michael – I have read a few pages and am still trying to ‘adjust’ because it is told first person, as Jesus. I have problems dealing with ‘Jesus as the author’. You know what I mean? But the description of the dust, crowd, noise, the feelings of the other people in the Gospel and etc helps me understand the how, why, what in the Gospel. Cos in the Bible it is all short parts like Christ went to the lake, Christ went up the hill, Christ went into the woods etc.
