Last Sunday, my dear hubby went over to church to help the handyman group to hang up buntings for our church family carnival which will be held this weekend. It is God’s little, mysterious way of getting my man whom does not like to have anything to do with church-ie stuffs (as he is not a Christian, not yet at least) to be part of the community. Hubby doesn’t mind putting his muscles and DIY skills to help the church. As long as I don’t ask him to join me in masses. Unless it is our son’s baptism, confirmation or Holy communion, you can forget about asking him.
Still, it is God’s way of telling me He heard my prayers. We tagged along with hubby as it was a bright, lazy Sunday afternoon. My two older kids went to clear the candle wax from the grotto. Bless them for it. They scrapped off the wax and make the steel stand clear and clean. Their motive? Nay, not that they are being extra helpful. But very resourceful. Still it is a win-win situation. I am sure Mother Mary will be smiling at the two kids sweating in the garden, working so hard. They take the scrapped wax home, melt the wax, strain the dirt and make wax block which they need for their skateboarding. To make the ramps smooth.
As for me, I had a good time taking photos of the church and the blue skies. My little toddler has open space to ride his bicyle. All thanks to God’s blessing for a happy family.
