I just received a sms from our choir master that Christmas choir starts on the first week of October.  Last year, I was contemplating having a Christmas minus all the rush for carolling and choir.  I want to have a totally free Christmas eve and day so that I am able to throw a Christmas party for my siblings and siblings-in-law who are all non-Christians.

The schedule of our carolling and Christmas choir is usually very packed.  Sometimes, we have to sing at the church choir during the morning and rush around a few hotels during the night.  Or we have to sing at night at some carolling and be ready to sing at church in the morning.

The carolling at the hotels are for charity.  We get paid handsomely and the money is donated to charity.  It is really fun with all the festive mood and etc.  I enjoyed it a lot but still, it does take up a lot of my time as choir practice is done every Sunday from 11.30 pm to 1 pm and I had to rush home because hubby has his badminton.

Well, inspite of all the above, I think I am going to join the choir again this year.  Otherwise, if everyone has the same thinking as me, “I skip this year, no one is going to miss just one single voice.” there will be no choir.  So, yeah!  Come O Come Emmanuel.
