About a week ago, I picked up some things that I deemed sensitive to my faith and I briefly gave a gist of what was written by a site that ‘appears’ close to the ruling party. I had to draft my post several times so as to cover myself because it is very easy for people to tear my words and intention apart when things go on the internet.
Eventhough I had worded them in the least sensitive way, there are still people who refused to see my point. I addressed what I wanted to share to ‘My Christians brothers and sisters’ hence, making it a private matter between Christians.
Anyway, that matter was soon pushed to the inner pages of my blog and I thought that things will be forgotten. However, a few days ago, I noted that one of the political party had made a police report and the person who made the report, blogged about it and quoted my post.
On one hand, I am glad that my views were noted and action were taken like how I hope it to be done. But on the other hand, I do feel apprehensive if anything untoward will result. All my doubts had been quickly erased this morning. Jesus told His disciples in Luke, Do not be afraid, my little flock. (refer Luke 12:31-34). If one feels compelled to speak the truth, one shouldn’t be afraid. That inner voice tells me to speak out and I will. We are the minorities but we are God’s children.
