Fr Huan asked us to try and recall some of the nightmares or dreams we have as he said dreams do reflect some inner parts of our unconscious mind. Sometimes, it is things that are not fulfilled in our lives or some early childhood trauma.
He said the older priests will not hear of us talking about dreams interpretations as it is not ‘very Catholic’ to talk about such things. However, he urges us to try and recall if we have any recurring nightmares as those may be signs of some of things that we may need to encounter and solve.
I told him that one of my common nightmare is not being to make a phone call. In every dream, I will be in danger or desperately need to make a phone call. However, all the phones will be missing one digit, usually number 9. Then, I will wake up in panic as I couldn’t make the important phone call.
Being the Miss Know It All, I told Fr Huan that it is my nature not to ask for help. I dislike disturbing people or make them inconvenient. So, I normally held back from asking for help or seeking favours. So, that’s why I have the recurring nightmares of not being able to seek help/make the phone call.
I am glad that I have never have bad dreams of people getting accident, sick or people dying. One of my sibling has that uncanny ability to dream of someone dying and sure enough they did. Scary, huh?
I also asked Fr Huan if one who dreams in colours is more creative. He said we dream in colour when we are happy and black and white when we are sad. Well, I have always dream in colour so I guess my dream interpretations are all great then.
The last dream I had was Mother Mary pinching my lips. Until now, I still haven’t figure out what that means. Maybe it is my guilty conscience that I have talked too much and Mother Mary is telling me to shut up already? Now, I hope to dream of Jesus one day. Nay….I don’t think I want to ‘cos I wouldn’t know how to behave if I really dream of Jesus. Hmmm…maybe I will run the other direction?

Just to add in. I had a dream some 20 years plus ago, that is I saw Lord Jesus Christ was Flying and Walking in the Sky with a banner in Green Colour was written in Arabic, to which I wasn’t able to read it at all.
I had never related this to my Parish Preist or anyone else other than this blog site. I am not worried but a bit of curiosity to know what does it means. Since the revealation made by Lilian as above so I hope somebody outside there just drop a bit of a hint on it all about, please. Nothing more just a mere curiosity.
