Wahahaha….I heard the shortest homily today. Oh boy, it is so short, it is funny. I was like “Ha? finished already?”

Today, I went to church for the 6 pm daily mass. Normally, the mass has very few people and they are the regular faces. However, I am always the noob and thought, “Aha, after the Permatang Pauh prayers we have offered to the Lord, I am sure many will go today for thanksgiving.”

But….it is the same number of people with the same faces. Doh…why do I have the idealistic thought that people will be praising God for kicking whichever asses like they asked? Ok, actually, we pray for wisdom. But I am sure many will have the wicked idea of seeing the party they dislike lose. And lost they did.

Anyway, back to the Gospel for today :

Gospel
Mt 23:27-32

Jesus said,
“Woe to you, scribes and Pharisees, you hypocrites.
You are like whitewashed tombs, which appear beautiful on the outside,
but inside are full of dead men’s bones and every kind of filth.
Even so, on the outside you appear righteous,
but inside you are filled with hypocrisy and evildoing.

So Father Fab proclaimed the above Gospel of Matthew. Then, in the homily, he asked, “Are you one?” or something like that. Then, he went to sit down. And I thought, Eh, Father? Habis already?

Come to think of it, that is a very powerful homily. It makes me wonder too, Am I one? And I am still dissecting which part of mine is full of skeletons and filth. Damn, don’t you just love priests like these? Wham! Bang! Go home and think about it.
