Hi Lilian. Have been a silent reader all this while but this post really touch a raw nerve. Cos’I too have experienced the above, only it’s much worse than your experience. Pissed enough to take my children out of Sunday school from my BEC church to a Cathedral which is much further from my home. But only after I spoke to the Cathedral priest about what’s happening. Truth be told,I had a confrontation with my BEC area leader and my hubby’s and children’s godparents who unfortunately happened to be from my BEC and having the same territorial thingy mindset. To make it short, I told them that my faith is between God and me. Period. I like reading your blogs for the simple reason that its written from the heart.

Foong – Yalor, tension betul. The Air Itam folks said I ‘belong to them’, the Green Lane area said ‘You are not from our BEC’. LOL, I don’t even know what BEC stands for and wouldn’t bother to find out. I only pissed with this over protective of ‘my BEC, your BEC’. It is more for administration purposes because like all huge organisations, there has to be segregation but when people start to think in that confined space, it gets kind of silly.

Wah, so territorial wan ah? That’s why lar they say religion is mostly man-made…I don’t think any God would want His followers to be divided by territory or anything.
Heheheh…I am not Christian but I like reading your faith blog, don’t know why.
