Is it fair to pull God into our dealings and swearings?

When we talk about this Divine Being call God, we think of a voiceless, nameless, faceless and most probably ‘action-less’ entity.  So, is it fair if we drag this Almighty Being into our affairs and use the Great Being as our shield?

I think not.  It is very easy swear.  What can possibly happens?  Usually nothing.  Unless you are really, really faithful to God and God is a Personal Friend to you, God is nothing.  But if one has that kind of deep relationship with God, one is not likely to get into any kind of trouble whereby one needs to pull out of thin air, this Person call God.

And certainly, a truly God loving person will not ever cause any trouble or cause any bad image to befell Him.  Example, if you truly, truly love and respect a senior person.  You get into trouble.  If you are really, really loving and respecting the senior person, you certainly won’t feel nice calling the person to help you out of your deep shits, right?  Any normal, sane person will feel bad doing so.

So, I personally think anyone who swears in the name of God is merely taking God for granted.  Taking God for granted that God is not likely to  zap the person  with a bolt of thunder or cause a mini cyclone to happen right before his eyes.  He takes God for granted because to people like him, God is just a fictional authority that can cause fears on others.

Yeah, I am sick of hearing people using God to save their sorry asses, literally and physically.  And I do not limit this Being to only my faith but God in general.  I personally think that if one is really faithful, that person will stay silent, pray earnestly and that kind of faith can move mountains.

May the good God forgive those  who swears using His Name, for they do not know what they are doing.  May we all remember that God is ever present and ever knowing and He will know what to do without us making a mockery of Him.   Amin….
