I am rather clueless on this Sajak Kematian issue until I read about it on Malaysiakini. I have absolutely no lead on what it is, whom do they show it to and what is the purpose of the video.
Menteri Pelajaran Datuk Seri Hishammuddin Hussein berkata beliau sama sekali tidak bersetuju dengan kaedah penggunaan klip video ‘Sajak Kematian’ di sekolah memandangkan ia tidak sesuai dengan tahap umur pelajar yang masih terlalu muda.
From what I gathered through the news, it is part of our Malaysian school subject where they show the video to children who are in Standard One and Two. I would like to know, is it for children of all faiths or just to Muslim children?
If it is for only Muslim children, then, I reserve my comment because it is not for me to say if it is right or not as I do not want to touch on others’ religion.
However, if it is indeed shown to all our children, then, I am totally outraged. I found the video on Youtube and even to me, as an adult, I found the video too scary for my liking. The link of the Sajak Kematian video is over here. I will not post it due to the sensitivities of ‘my faith, others’ faith’.
I didn’t watch it as the howling of the dog already scared me enough. So, assuming the video is shown to all children, then, I have these to say :
1) It is stupid to scare children to behave.
2) It is moronic to use the scare tactic to plant faith.
3) It is dumb to even think that we can get our children to believe in God by using the scare tactic.
You know what I think? I think this is no different from the gory Haw Par Villa statues where they show gory scenes of people being tortured in hell. Have they gone to devil worshipping or what? Aren’t we all taught that our God is a loving and forgiving God? Tuhan yang maha pengampun dan Tuhan yang maha penyanyang. I heard this from the Ustazah in my Agama class when I was in primary school where I sat in during the Islamic lesson.
Whoever comes up with this video ought to be left at some cemetery overnight. Enuff said!

The kids will be traumatized for life, then have to go for therapy pulak. I never believe in using scare tactics because they never worked on me. Reverse psychology does not work on me too. So I shall not subject another to this kind of treatment.
Anyway all these kind of tactics only make the kids more rebellious.

This video is only shown for Muslim students, and for your information to clear out any misunderstanding, it is not meant to scare. It is meant as a reminder that we should always behave on the count of we won’t live for a long time and this is not our world. You for a religious person should now and understand because remainder of death also thought in Christianity. I now this because I learnt about your religion a little.

First of all, the video is kind of silly. if you are burried underground, you should not have space for you to move youself. It’s just not logical. Secondly, i thought the judgement day suppose to come straight after you die. so, if the face has become corpsy, this shows that the judgement day has come a bit late and proves that you have to wait for a long time to be judged in hell just like in Malaysia courts. A case can take forever to be heared in a court. (refering to somebody’s case). maybe they have a lot of red tape as well six feet underground. But, credit should be given to the actor for being able to move his/her body like a worm eventhough being wrapped tightly.

Sajak Kematian (Poe of Death- right?)- just to teach and frightened a very smalls and young kid about the negative side of thing. Oh Come on, we are living in the HI-TECH World of the 22nd Centuries AD. If the actor can act and be shown like that to the very raw kid, I doubt it very much they will take it at a face value at all.
How on Earth you can expect a real living human acting in such a way. Had the Director died he himslef and resurrected to life as what our Lord Jesus Christ did. And can he prove what he had created was his past life experiences or just after reading some book written by some author of his inspirant who profess to this thingy belief of sort.
I am smiling too myself whilst writing this posting when I compared that to the movies some years ago ” Freedy NightMare” which I used to teased my son who was a fews years old with the Soft Aluminium Foil in the MilkPowder Tin by imitating the Freedy NightMare Nail- but instead of becoming scared he was mocking and laughing at me by calling me “Papa is Fidy Nai May” means - Papa is Freedy NightMares.
Hahaha, I hope Sajak Kematian (Poem of Death - In English - please correct me if I am wrong) will not become a mockery of the Kids all over in the future. Hopefully the responsible individual will think and look for something more meaningfull and educative in the long term for the kids. Hopefully that they are not too much expose to the WRONG religious side of thing in their greeny years of growing up.

lolz. Don’t judge something until you see it with your own eyes. Some of you judged the poem without even read it. It’s about death and reminder to all living thing. The video clip is just symbolic of what happening to the dead. I’m not a religious man in fact I’m a man of science. There are things that we can’t see but exist. Like virus and bacteria, we can’t see them but they are exist. Black holes are impossible to be seen but they existed. Can someone verify to me that they can see black holes? I rest my case (Sorry just want to hit some of the non-baliever a lil bit (^.^)….)
As for the poem, scary but not as scary as Saw 5 or ju-on or “jangan pandang belakang”. Very islamic sided and is not opened to other religon. Muslim understand the video and will not have the guts to go against such video. The ministry? Bah, he has to say something or the unity between religion will shake.
Overall, bad video with suck background and sound effect, actor is not good at his character, the message is clear to some and quite vague to other. Maybe better video clip has to be make before it can be accepted (”,)………

Yes I do believe in Science and some of the evidences adduced , because you can see Bacteria and Viruses, definitely not with your plain naked eye but with the scientific equipment (telescopic either it is a normal or a high tech thing - Electron) Still the evidence can be presented physically.
But for POEM of Death ?????? not much can be of an influence to some as well.
Fair enough, my challenge to the Director or the Actor, is just get him/herself to be buried and left alone in the grave yard for one whole night long and whether he can met all those percieved and talk to all those imagery images in their film/sajak/poem of death. Utilizes all the available Electronic Equipment available to them and at the end produce what they can and get from their sojourn.
Black Hole, yes Science can show to us that it does exist. So no argument on that. I am of an oppinion, that this Poem of Death (I had seen it) is a very funny presentation to the poor little kids in the early schooling age. Just to frightened some of the naughty kids from playing truance when they grow up, perhap????
I had a one unexplained encounter of one kind. Let me elaborate a bit of that brief afair and share it here with you all.
Way back in 2003, I met my workmate one day whilst on my way to my Night Food break, he was dressing, talking,behaving and looking like a real him in the real World. During my brief conversation with him (whilst passing by each other - not stopping physically for a chat) he was not that responding to what I told him and I did heard him saying yes to me but not very clear, during the short period of encounter.
(My topic of exchange with him were regarding the disagreement of the Malaysian Government in granting Chin Peng (Leader of the Ex-Communist Party of Malaya) to return and settled down in Malaysia permanently—- ” It sound like this— ## Hey Buddy##, Your Friend Chin Ping, request to settle and return to Msia was rejected by the Gov’t— his response was short and simple - that is AAAAAAH (very low tone) and when I repeated that again, the same response were heard as well from him.>>>>
But to my surprise, when I reach the Galley, it was really shocking that my real friend were busy toasting his 2 pieces of bread and applying all the marmalade and jelly to his bread.
I sat closely to him during the whole period of our Lunch and once we had finish our food, I whispered to him quietly, whether he did went up to the place where I had met him previously. To his surprise, he was initially telling me it was a lie and when I told him that he was using a full set of Working attire, that lead to him more agitate and really nagging me for more clues.
I narrated to him of what I had seen and the figures that I met before my Lunch break were even not looking directly at my face and neither do myself as well either, not knowing that was not my real friends.
Neither one of us (my friend) are in a position to tell each other of what it is actually and till to days none of us knows what does it means.
So I can’t really prove to my friend of it actual existence and that leads to an untold stories an incident and an experiences left between both of us only, till to this days.
Still puzzling me to this days as well, but that is the reality of the World of Natures with many wonders where thing happen to pop up out of nowhere and with no explantion for it’s disapperance as well.
