The very first book I got was Six Hours One Friday by Max Lucado. Can you believe it that I actually went through almost half the book and I still didn’t get what Max was babbling about? I wasn’t a Christian and I don’t have the faintest idea who is Jesus and who is God.

I didn’t know that Jesus was crucified and died on Good Friday. I didn’t know about His last journey. So, I read through pages and pages of uplifting, motivational stuffs and yet do not fully understand what is the anchor that Max was talking about. However, Max’s writing is easy to relate to as he often talked about the daily things we do and the normal people we meet.

Finally, it dawned on me that the anchor Max was referring to is God Himself. If we have Christ in us, we have an anchor. Even in stormy seas, we will not get lost or drown because of the anchor.

I gave a friend a book by Max Lucado and I hope Max’s writing will be enlightening to him as well. Much earlier, I had also given a Bible as well. LOL, I am not evangelising. I only give when asked.
