Yesterday, I had the luck of reading a blog post with Youtube embedded in it. I am open to debate and discussions about the differences in our faith. It is cool that people can dig every words, sentences and chapters of their Book and other faith’s book to complement their points.
But there is one part where this learned person said the ‘He’ that Jesus said will return is not ‘his spirit, ghost or spooky thing’. Ok, something like that but the word spooky is there and it was repeated several times. This learned person, God bless his soul….. said that Jesus mentioned eight times of ‘he’. And hence, the ‘he’ has to be a person, not spooky ghost.
Well, I am not bothered whether the ‘he’ is the Holy Spirit as my interpretation or ‘he’ as others’ prophet. To me, it is the Holy Spirit that Jesus told His disciples because when one is a Christian, one can feels the presence of the Holy Spirit.
But using common sense, I think it is ridiculous to imply that when we refer to the deceased (and resurrected), we do not use the ‘he’ anymore. Certainly, if your father, your friend or whoever died, you surely still talk about the person and refer as ‘he’, no? Don’t tell me you use ‘it’ to refer to a person when he died? Ridiculous, no? I could actually typed out the BM Bible where ‘he’ won’t be use but instead ‘Dia or Nya’ but I shall not wish to ruffle any feathers.
So, bring it on. I love an exchange of words sometimes.
