Dilemma, dilemma, dilemma.
It is just a crazy, spur of the moment, let’s do it without too much thinking kind of decision. We are moving house. This week.
Now that I am in another area, in Tanjung Bungah, it is quite a distance to go to CHS. Of course, the weekly mass is not a problem. However, all those duties will be too taxing for me especially the kids’ catechism classes and my CEC ministry. Then, there are my multiple duties like attending 7 am mass for lector, then, attending 10 am mass for OHP duties.
So, do I just dropped every single ministry, go to a new church and start life anew? Or do I still hang around?
Now, I am a very bad Catholic. If I stopped my participation in the various ministries, I will find more excuses to skip church. At least, right now, I have duties lined up and hence, the chance of me finding reasons not to go to mass is less because I am very faithful to my rosters. Yeah, I please duty rosters before pleasing God. *smacks self with chains*
The other thing is, I am not a very churchie person. I dislike all those chummy, christianie stuffs like BEC meetings, BEC masses and etc and wish I can just evade the attention of the BEC leader there. Right now, no one invites me to any BEC stuffs simply because I am not part of the parish BEC and I don’t attend mass in the church in my area. So, I have escaped all these boring events.
When I have left the ministries I am in now, I know I will get cold feet starting anew in a new church. So, I will probably dissolved into a regular church goer who is likely to skip church.
So, my dear Lord, You know me well. I am not a person who can sits back and do nothing but praising You. I am the ‘doer’ who needs to constantly do something. What do I do then?
1) Hang around CHS until Thy kingdom come? Leave some of the ministries and continue attending mass there.
2) Leave all ministries and go to new church like all obedient Catholics do.
3) Leave the church completely and just stay at home? (ok, just joking)
Or what? Never mind…I will ask my current parish priest about life in a most political church. And let’s see what words of wisdom he has for me. Well, that’s what I heard about that church.
