So, Christmas is over. Gladly and finally. Thank God my voice didn’t quit on me at the choir. In fact, I have so much voice and didn’t start coughing madly. Like I told my son, I must have faith whenever I respond, “Lord, I am not worthy to receive you but only say the Word, and I shall be healed.” at Holy Communion. And usually, I cast my troubles and truly (well at least I try very hard to) believe in what I said, that the Lord will lift away all the problems, illnesses, little pains and itches if I truly believe in the healing of being in Communion with Christ.

This Christmas has got to be the most modest Christmas because instead of any rich lunch with good foods, I cooked porridge for our lunch as my #2 son is sick. And I only managed to get slightly heady from the margarita last night.

I hope everyone is well by New Year’s Eve so that we can actually have a decent dinner instead of porridges. I watched Jamie Oliver Christmas Dinner and missed roasting turkey, potatoes and having lots of meats for our meals.

After New Year is over, it is going to be Chinese New Year. I bought these tiny peaches from the stall. Chinese of Taoist faiths buy them to offer to their gods. The peach is actually made of steamed flour bun and has peanuts and sugar fillings. They believe peach gives eternal life and hence, offer them to their gods. Of course, I bought it just because it looks cute and my little boy enjoy the cuteness.

The first day of the Chinese lunar 12th moon is on Saturday and that means exactly one month, it is going to be Chinese New Year. Though I look forward to so many celebrations, there is also the nagging thought that school is opening soon. I am certainly not keen to fast forward to the days when school opens. I hate seeing my baby going to kindie 2! I wish to keep him at home as my baby but he is all grown up now.

Times like these, I wish time moves a little bit slower…
