A fellow blogger who is a Christian shared her thoughts on blogging and making money and how her faith interweaves with it. She wondered why some of us earn more while others earn less. Her conclusion is God will provide when we need it and we merely have to cast our nets further. She took the example of the fishermen who failed to get any catch until Jesus told them to cast their nets elsewhere.
I do get get paid to blog and it pays handsomely. I never fail to praise and thank God for this blessing. It cannot come at a more opportune time because right now, my hubby is not working. Though we do have money to tide us through, the thought of not making a single dollar daily while we spend do bothers me. Even my kids do ask often, “Are you sure we can afford this (eg. holiday, expensive meals, new clothes etc)?”
Until hubby goes back to work, I shall have to continue writing and working hard on my blogs and get paid by Smorty. With hardwork and faith that God will provide our daily bread, we are doing fine.
