I think it can be pretty scary if you have four children, one in college, three yet to enter college, a home, two cars and no income. Not the official type of income. But praise the glorious Lord that we are spared from these sort of worries.
My older siblings had gone through such changes in their lives where the husband has to work in another state, either bringing the family along or leave them behind. Usually, they will moved to another state for better pastures. We did thought of moving to another country but our two older children were not keen on being uprooted at that age. We decided much earlier when they were younger about migrating. So, we shelved our plans because we rather be poorer than to end up with rebellious teens in foreign land.
Now, I am glad that we are never in want. Indeed, the Lord gives us our daily bread. And the Lord has indeed lead me to greener pastures. In everything, trust in Him. With the ample time that we have, without a 9-5 work, which normally my hubby needs an extra 2 hours for travelling time due to traffic jam on the Penang bridge….we can shower all the attention on the kids.
We live a much frugal life now. No more fancy restaurants as and when we feel like it because our restaurant bills can add up to several thousands per month. No more aircond all night long and sometimes day too. Only when it is absolutely hot. No more clothes dryer but airing and drying under the sun.
And I thank God that my children are less materialistic and do not demand for frills and fancy things. The older two are even exploring on ways to make money. This, I feel is the best lesson I can give them. To be disciplined with money.
I thank God too that I have a heart big enough to share my make money online tips with other mothers and people interested in making money. This I think is a 10-fold blessings like the Lord’s promises. Freely I share, freely He showers me with blessings. Yes, I thank you, Lord.
