Something caught my eyes when I read this heart-to-heart talk Teresa Kok had with Guang Ming. I must post it over here and hope what Teresa Kok said be a reminder to us Christians what faith can do to a person.

To be frank, I felt downcrested on the first two days, but after seeing my parents, who told me many people out there were giving me their support, I began to change my attitude.

If my detention can raise the people’s awareness on ISA, as well as their fury towards the BN government, then I feel it’s not in vain, and I won’t feel so frustrated any more.

I was also thinking of the judgement Jesus had to go through. Even though He was crucified on the cross, He has been remembered by people through the ages. I felt that my detention had been arranged in such a way that Jesus was trying to use my innocence to educate the public on politics.

Indeed, praise the Lord for the strength, courage, hope, patience and all that He has showered on Teresa during her trials.

Through Teresa’s detention, I have indeed become braver in getting involved in the fight for justice. Previously, I will probably shy away from any show of support through candlelight vigils and voicing my opinions. However, from Teresa Kok detention, I learnt that if each of us does not speak up, no one will. I have seen how the other parties, i.e. media and screwed up politicians can twist their words to put an innocent party into jail.

We can slowly see God’s plan unravelling in our eyes. Have patience and we shall see justice.
