This photo was taken five years ago. At that time, my children and I were not in Christ yet. However, we were slowly getting to know Jesus through the children’s Bible stories. Very often, the children will read about fishermen and know Jesus’s words of ‘Make fisher of men’.
16As Jesus walked beside the Sea of Galilee, he saw Simon and his brother Andrew casting a net into the lake, for they were fishermen. 17″Come, follow me,” Jesus said, “and I will make you fishers of men.” 18At once they left their nets and followed him.
(Mark 1)
The children were into fishing and I somehow weaved the meaning of faith during those fishing sessions. As you know, it takes a lot of patience to wait for the fishes to bite. So, during those times where the fishes were biting, the children will be complaining about being bored. I told them to pray and pray they did.
It is really miraculous that my son really caught a prized fish when we least expect it. The adults around us too were so amazed to see this little boy of 10 years old with his prized garoupa fish.
That incident had became the foundation of faith for my children who were unbelievers previously.
