‘Since I acquired a Bible four years ago I have diligently \’read\’ through them. Well people don\’t READ Bible as a book but more as a reflection because each person will \’feel\’ a different kind of message though they are reading the same thing. The Bible is God\’s Word.\r\nAnyway I like to focus more on the New Testament which starts from Jesus\’s birth. The Bible has two sections one called the Old Testament which is the beginning of the world i.e. from Adam and Eve right up to the Psalms and the other one the New Testament. Both Old and New are a related as what was foretold in the Old Testament came true in the New Testament.\r\n\r\nThe Bible is actually make up of many different books binded into one thick Bible. The last book in the Bible is the Book of Revelations or sometimes referred as the Apocalypse. It is written by John who talked about things that come in his dreams. He related about the end of the world.\r\n\r\nThe Book of Revelation is very confusing for me because of the signs and numbers involved. So I normally skip it because it gets tiring with all the numbers. However I had the chance to watch the Secret Bible on National Geographic the other day and got a better grasp of it. (though it is not entirely reliable of course)\r\nIt is a very graphic show with lots of animation to make things simple to understand. Well eerily what our world is going through now seems to fit into the description. All the natural disasters wars  spread of fatal diseases and etc. As Catholics we don\’t often talk about end times.\r\n\r\nPersonally I do not give much thought too because to me the purpose in our life is to be here on earth do what we can and leave the rest to God. For Jesus had said that no one will know when the world will end and when He will come again. Jesus\’s disciples asked him this very same question and that\’s what He said. Moreover Jesus also said that it will be like a thief in the night no one knows when a thief will come so we have to be watchful all the time. By being watchful I suppose it means we have to do what Jesus commanded i.e. to love one another as we love ourselves.\r\n\r\nToday another earthquake measuring 7.1 hit off Taiwan. It is exactly two years we experienced the tremors followed by the tsunami that hit my island. As Christian I don\’t believe in coincidences. I believe in God\’s plan. Though I don\’t mean to sound like some very passionate Christians who often preached about end times I think this is another reminder for us to get closer to God. For only in God do we have that comfort that there is life even if we die. For it is said For God so love the world He gave His only Begotten Son Jesus Christ to us. Only Jesus can promise us that He will save us. Even if the world ends tomorrow I know my Lord the God will not foresake us if we believe in Him.’ ‘End Times’
