The other day, a Chinese newspaper reporter asked me which is my favourite blog amongst all my blogs. I told her currently, it has to be this blog because I am much more relaxed writing from here because there are less nosey commentors.
Now, I look back and wonder when I started having a passion to write about faith and what or who gave me the motivation to blog over here. One quick look on my Categories on the sidebar tells me that I go on full throttle since May 2008.
Sometime in 2007, I used this blog for paid posts. Then, I got Google smacked, i.e. my pagerank taken away, rendering this blog to be ‘useless’ from the making money point. I repented and begged my Googlegod to give me a second chance and I got my pagerank back.
However, writing a faith blog is not easy because you never know which toes you may step on. If I am too holy-moly, I get cursed by people. If I am too general, holy-moly people will banish me to hell for my unconventional and liberal Catholic thoughts. Either way, it is no fun getting dissed so I am always cautious of how I worded even a simple sentence.
I think I started to focus more on my faith after the nine days Pentecost novena I attended. The Archbishop John Ha from Sarawak did make a huge impact on me. So did the lengthy homily from FF on conversion at the beginning of the Pentecost Novena.
It is good to have a blog on faith because it keeps my faith journey charted out. I know when my faith is weak, i.e. when I have nothing good to write here. And when I am inspired, I can write a few posts in a day. Looking at the stats, I did write more than one post each day in the months of May 2008 onwards.
Let’s see how long I can keep to this discipline before I start getting lazy, playing ‘truant’ from attending church and just totally ‘run away from God‘.

YeinJee – I notice that on Safari but seems fine on Firefox. Tks, need to find where the missing div tag is.
