Tony Melendez “Hands in Heaven” – Video from Youtube

The other day when I was at the lector’s retreat, Martin Jalleh showed us this video of the amazing Tony Melendez. It is the first time I have heard or seen him perform but apparently, all the other ladies were familiar with this inspiring man.

It is not only the song he sing, the condition he is in and the miraculous talent he has inspite of him born without hands. He was performing for Pope John Paul and when the concert was over, the elderly Pope, in his robe jump down from the stage to walk to where Tony is. Remember that the Pope was already 70+ and was not a very strong but he just jumped down from the stage where he (the Pope) was, walked over to Tony and gave him a hug.

That scene brought tears to me. I hope you are inspired by Tony’s performance and may you have faith in Christ that we too can overcome all obstacles if we believe in Jesus Christ.
