It is Trinity Sunday. It is a day when we Christians acknowledge the Holy Trinity which consists of God the Father, Jesus the Son and the Holy Spirit. Something that some other faiths often argue with me that there is only one God and not three gods. I am not ever going into any discussion about this 3-in-1 or 1-in-3 debates.

Last year, I was so keen to find the perfect explanation on what is Holy Trinity. I even got a copy of Father Fabian’s homily to share on my blog. You can find the Holy Trinity explanation on my old post.

I think the easiest thing for me to understand is what Father Fabian mentioned in his sermon last year:

When we love as Jesus showed and commanded us to, when we are responsible parents, when we care, when we empathise with others who are sick, suffering, sad…etc .we enter into the trinity. When we promote equality, justice and stand up for the truth we enter into the trinity.

One year later, I found that we are not what we preach. Most of the times, we claimed to be salt of the earth, light of the world and bla bla bla….Yet, we often want to run away from the task. I almost do that. I almost close my eyes to see no evil, close my ears to hear no evil and close my mouth to say no evil. It would have been much more easier for me and maybe safer too.

But I prayed over it, ponder over my responsibilities and I decided to take the risk and say what I think, show what I had seen and share it with others for them to make up their own mind. I guess it is the price we have to pay as citizen journalists. Some people may not be pleased with me and either way, I will get some flaks. But hey, if I don’t, I am just running away.

So, I can say that I have entered into the Holy Trinity when I stand up for truth. May the Holy Trinity bless me so that I don’t get my butt z’hnged.
