I think all Christians know the feelings well.  One moment you feel like you are the chosen one, God’s favourite child.  Next minute, we feel we are the neglected one and sometimes, we feel ashame to even call ourself a Christian.

Between the two, I will choose to be the not worthy one because I will be less pain-in-arse to the people in general.  I know many Christians like to stay on the side of the chosen ones.  But that is one of the greatest stumbling block to the religion.  There is nothing more turn-off than a bunch of self-righteous, pain-in-neck, preachy-preachy Christians to drive folks away from the religion.

Remember that in the Bible, Jesus had always been in crowds of people that the holy people did not approve.  Taxmen, Samaritans, adulterous woman, prostitutes, thieves, disbelievers and many more. So, which side are you on?

Are you the kind of Christian that make people hate the religion?  Or are you the one that makes people think, “Hey, that’s cool!  You are a Christian?  Tell me more about Christ.”

Therefore, I hold true to a verse I found in the letter of St. Paul (to whom I have forgotten) about talking in the same wavelength like those we want to share the Good News with.  I know God is in my heart and will guide me through when I need to.  So, yeah, get off my back if you think I am not ‘Christian-y’ enough.  That’s for my Lord and I to know.
